A New Website

Become a Stronger Authority

Having done many previous projects for Storm Ventures, Tae Hea Nahm and his team approached us with an idea to turn their first book "Survival to Thrival" into an interactive website. Because this created a disconnect from their current and unused marketing website for Survival to Thrival, they also wanted to redesign it to accommodate their books' future.
Tae Hea Nahm and Storm Ventures have invested in and helped lead the success of 9 "Unicorn" startups. In short, he knows what he is doing. Because of the success he has helped bring to Storm Ventures and their portfolio of clients, he had a passion for making this wisdom and knowledge accessible to anyone trying to navigate the hurdles of starting and running a successful business. Creating an online version of the book and the main site to add additional content is necessary to help get the word out.

Strategize and Create

An Easy Place to Share Knowledge

The plan for the book was to continue expanding on the chapters with new and exciting knowledge. Because we were taking a printed book and making it online, we created some clever web technology to make this easily readable by the visitor and easy to update on the client-side, even when it comes to adding more chapters. After developing the online book and CMS system, we then shifted to the main Survival to Thrival site, restructured it, and applied a new flow and design.
Tea Hae Nahm and his team at Storm Ventures now have a complete marketing and product system to reach out to the market. With a growing database of subscribers, more and more contributors are adding to this resource. This is the project's first phase, and we will work on updates such as sign-in, profiles, and comments.

Survival to Thrival Website

Being the main entry point for the online version of the book, we expanded on the look and feel of the book cover and gave it a cleaner and more updated feeling without taking too far. We also needed to repurpose some of the original website's content, like blog posts and podcasts, which were all part of this redesign project.

Survival to Thrival Book Website

Being the "beta" version of this project, we created a stable and reliable version 1 of this website centered around the core objectives. The first is having separate navigation for the table of contents and anchoring those items to the chapter content while also making it simple for the backend to add and update content. While keeping anchors where they are was a simple task. The second objective was to create a solution to automatically add anchors to the table contents with additional content with the CMS editor in WordPress, so we developed a software API to meet that objective. We also needed to create a timed prompt that asked for an email address to continue reading, and we also created a timed blocker of content to capture emails. Since this was a beta project, a profile, and login system were unnecessary. As an alternative, we created a caching system that remembered visitor browser profiles so they could return without needing to input their email address (if they already have one) to reveal the content.
