The word "Envoy" has been used for many different types of businesses, so it was a mini-challenge for them not to get confused with other "Envoy" named businesses. For their target market of startups, we wanted to ensure a visual connection to that but with a financial consultancy touch. We decided we did not need an icon because the market is saturated with those, and no "envoy" named businesses used the word itself as a logo. So that was our opportunity to stand out. We decided to custom-letter the logo with a tech feel and then embellish the brand with bold and luxurious colors. The pattern was birthed on accident while we experimented with creating the "y" in "envoy." Ashely loved it because it reminded her of a tech-feeling Gucci pattern; we agreed with her feedback and gave it a better purpose and found fonts with styles to complement it.
Since Envoy Consulting was a new business, they asset needs only business cards and a websites. However, when we design brands, we test them in many applications and includ a few examples to show the full potential of the visual system we created.
No brand rollout is complete without a completely new website. Websites can either be an online business card, or be a useful tool to generate leads. We created a local-search focused landing page that gave an overview of what they do and prompted visitors to engage with them. We wrote all the content, then, designed and developed the new fully responsive website which has become a constant source of leads for them.
