As with all our clients, we try to establish a brand filter that fully encompasses the business's passion and purpose. The filter we landed on became the central reference point for all of the brand's creative direction. We decided to illustrate the brand filter and make it a visual anchor point in the space. It was so perfect; it became an integral part of the visual brand and the slogan of Buck + Board.
The only thing created up to this point was a buck illustration drawn by a local artist as an idea for a logo. We liked its look but not as a logo, so we thought it would work great as a branding element. We advised that one logo wasn't going to cut it, and we needed to create a brand and creative direct the interior and exterior design. So, we created a few various logos for different uses and a simple triangle pattern to complement the interior space, creating a connection to their digital presence.
After creating the visual brand, we provided creative direction in space design and expanded the visual brand to tie in the space from the outside-in. The clever placement of design elements inside and out ended up being a brand you can submerge in.
