Since the event was being held in Dallas, TX, we wanted to pull inspiration from the city into the design. With Spark being the event's name, the solution was obvious–integrate a spark somewhere. However, we wanted the spark's shape to be more meaningful. After some brainstorming, we saw the Reunion Tower and realized its lights and shape sort of resembled a spark. We came up with 3 versions utilizing our take on the word "spark." ACCE picked the 3rd option and we then flushed out the visual identity.
Once we established all the design styles, we designed a 12-page brochure, email header, and postcard to assist their marketing team to get sign-ups and sponsors.
